Background
Woolly and the Mæstoso band made a triumphant return to the live stage after an absence of many years at the Mean Fiddler in London's Charing Cross Road on May 12th, 2004. The concert was recorded straight to DAT from the mixing desk, and the quality turned out to be good enough for this live CD, issued as a limited edition of 1,000 copies. Without the benefit of a multi-track recording, no post-concert overdubbing was carried out, so what you hear is exactly how it was on the night - not your normal polished live album, but a faithful record of a fine performance, warts and all.
